The Grantmakers Without Borders (”GWOB”) Conference this year will take place at the Presidio in San Francisco from June 8 to June 10. The conference will focus on both international grant-making practice and the theme of “Advancing Human Rights, Equity and Justice in a Climate Constrained World.”
GWOB is a dynamic organization whose conference will bring together a diversity of donors including foundation staff, board members, and other donors along side activits from the global south. The discussion will center around critical issues facing grass roots communities in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The climate change focus will look at issues as diverse as small scale farming as a way to “cool the earth,” and strategies for addressing climate change in China.
